There are a number of great horse people who offer advice on floating your horses safely. One thing you will need to know to calculate weight to tow ratio’s, is the approximate weight of your horse. This can be calculated in the following way:
Measure him around the girth in centimeters.
Then around the girth in cm,
Girth x length in cm, divided by 8717 = weight in Kilograms.
