Building Your Float
All Olympic Trailers and Floats are built at our premises in Kilburn, South Australia.
Buyers are welcome to come into the factory to watch your float as it goes through the building process.
Everything that goes into and onto an Olympic Trailer has been tested and re-tested to meet our extensive quality control requirements. We source the best materials available and always use Australian-made steel from our suppliers such as Bluescope, One Steel and Orrcon. Fixtures and fittings are routinely checked and tested so you can feel confident that your float contains only the highest quality materials and products.
Olympic Horse Floats have a completely galvanised steel frame to give them superior durability. Panels and mudguards are made from zinc anneal sheet for additional resistance to the elements, great finish and strength. Axles are duraflex and you can choose either electric or hydraulic brakes which are standard on all models with larger capacity models coming standard with 4 wheel electric braking systems. All our trailers and horse floats are completely compliant with Australian Design Rules and we go above and beyond to ensure the highest quality workmanship at all times.
What your horse stands on is so important that’s why we choose our floors to be made from 25mm hardwood timber. This timber is super strong and solid under hoof, it is designed to be structural timber and to carry load making it the safest option available on the market. Internally the float has spring-loaded breaching doors making it easy and safe to load and unload your horse. All our floats come standard with custom padded chest rails, breeching doors, side walls and dividers and we use marine grade vinyl ensuring long lasting durability and safety even under the demands of our horsey friends!
Our rubber matting is glued and sealed to ensure your float floor is protected from the elements and your horses and enables hygienic cleaning when required or if moving multiple horses. Olympic Horse floats have many standard features that others include as extras, multiple windows for ventilation and light, pop up vents, tie up loops and bridle hooks are just some of our standard features as your horses comfort, safety and well being are our primary concern.

Over the last few years the team at Olympic have been working closely with paint providers, cabinet makers, customisers and other specialist designers to develop a range of options that will help you create the float that truly meets your needs. If you compete and travel, your float can double as your accommodation and be customised to include bunk beds, kitchen, cooking and power. You can have water tanks incorporated in your float so instead of searching for taps and struggling with heavy buckets at an event, your water is right there. You just turn on your float tap and fill up your bucket.
Convenience, comfort, practicality and style - it's all there in your very own, custom designed Olympic Float. Let's say you carry a lot of equipment, then you'll be needing additional storage and access.
