All Olympic Trailers and Floats are built at our premises at Gepps Cross in South Australia. Buyers are welcome to come into the factory to watch your float as it goes through the building process.
Everything that goes into and onto an Olympic Trailer has been tested and re-tested to meet our extensive quality control requirements. We source the best materials available and always use Australian-made Bluescope steel. Fixtures and fittings are routinely checked and tested so you can feel confident that your float contains only the highest quality materials and products.
Olympic Floats have steel frames to make them stronger. Panels and mudguards are made from zinc anneal panels for reliability and strength. Axles are duraflex and you can choose either electric or hydraulic brakes on standard models with larger capacity models coming standard with electric braking systems. Roof bows are galvanised to prevent rust and deterioration and our floats have a fibreglass roof with a unique spring-loaded fold-away jockey wheel that is EASY to use! All floats are vinyl etch primed and painted with three coats to create a beautiful finish that’s easy to maintain and clean.
What your horse stands on is so important, and our floors are 25mm Tasmanian Hardwood timber. This timber is super strong and solid under hoof. Spring-loaded breaching doors make it easy to get into and out of the float and all interior walls, chest rails and breeching doors have a heavy-duty vinyl coated padding for protect your horse from every angle.
The rubber matting on the floor can be lifted for cleaning. The rubber mats on the tailgate are glued and sealed though so they will not flap or be lifted when your horse goes in or out of the float. You have the option of including rubber on all walls of the float if you wish. Other options include rotary or pop-up vents, extra doors and windows, higher stone guard, rubber curtain, trotting hooks, rug racks and many more.
The biggest benefit of an Olympic Float is the beautiful balance you feel when you have the float behind your vehicle. Whether you have one horse or four, the float maintains perfect balance and the heavy duty chasses and framework mean the float will still remain strong and sturdy even when the horse or horses within are restless or scrambling.
